Terms of Service
Effective date: August 19, 2026 · Last updated: August 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of symbiotechai.com and set out the standard terms under which Symbiotech LLC ("Symbiotech," "we," "us"), a Michigan limited liability company, provides automation, AI integration, and web development services. By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to them.
1. What this site is
This website describes our services and lets you contact us. Its content is general information, not professional advice. Descriptions of results other businesses have seen are not a promise of what your business will see.
2. Services
We build and maintain business automations, AI integrations, chatbots and voice agents, and web products. Each engagement is defined by its written proposal: what we will build, what it costs, what it should return, and which third-party services (including AI providers) it will use.
3. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
We keep billing deliberately simple, and we put the consumer-protection parts in writing here so you can hold us to them:
- Fixed-price builds. The price in the accepted proposal is the price you pay. Changes in scope are priced and approved in writing before work continues.
- Monthly retainers (optional, for monitoring and maintenance) renew monthly. We send a reminder email before each renewal charge — you will never be silently re-billed.
- Cancelling is as easy as signing up. You started by sending an email; you can cancel a retainer the same way, with a single email to austin@symbiotechai.com. No phone tree, no retention script, no cancellation fee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we confirm it in writing.
- No dark patterns. We do not auto-enroll you in anything you did not explicitly agree to, and any free item (like the audit call) is genuinely free — it does not convert into a paid subscription.
- Refunds. If a delivered fixed-price build does not do what the proposal says it will do, and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund for the part that does not work.
4. AI systems: what we promise and what we don't
We build with large language models and similar AI. Being honest about their limits is part of the service:
- AI output can be wrong. Models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated content. Systems we build are designed with human review or confidence thresholds at the points where errors would matter, and we tell you where those points are.
- Not professional advice. Nothing produced by us or by a system we build constitutes legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. AI systems we deploy are configured to say so when asked for such advice.
- Not for emergencies, and not a counselor. Conversational systems we build (chatbots, voice agents) are business tools, not crisis services. We configure them so that if a person expresses thoughts of self-harm or suicide, the system does not attempt to counsel them — it provides the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), advises contacting 911 in an emergency, and flags the conversation for human attention. If you operate a system we built and want this behavior changed, we won't remove the crisis referral.
- Disclosure. Customer-facing AI agents we build identify themselves as automated when a reasonable person might otherwise believe they are human.
- Regulated data. Systems that touch health, financial, or other regulated data are scoped with those regulations named in the proposal. We do not build systems that process protected health information without an appropriate agreement in place.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and lawful data. Don't ask us to automate something illegal (spam that violates CAN-SPAM/TCPA, scraping in breach of contract, deceptive marketing) — we will decline.
- You are responsible for having the right to share the data you give us — for example, telling us if a customer list was collected under promises that restrict how it can be used.
- Keep your own copies of credentials and data. We are careful, but we are not your backup service unless the proposal says we are.
6. Intellectual property
When a fixed-price build is paid for, you own the deliverables built for you — workflows, code written for your project, and content created for your business. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, templates, and general know-how, and a license to use them in your project is included. Third-party platforms (Zapier, Make, model providers, etc.) remain governed by their own terms.
7. Warranties and liability
The site is provided "as is." For client work, we warrant that deliverables will materially conform to the accepted proposal, and we will fix nonconformities reported within 30 days of delivery at no charge.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Symbiotech LLC's total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the amount you paid us for that engagement in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Termination
Either party may end an engagement with written notice. You pay for work completed to date; we hand over deliverables and data for what you've paid for, and we delete remaining copies of your materials on request per our Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before either of us files anything anywhere, we agree to try to resolve the dispute directly — a conversation first, lawyers second. Venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email. Changes never apply retroactively to a signed proposal.
