FindABed
Symbiotech LLC builds and operates
FindABed (findabed.net), a care-placement
marketplace. Hospital social workers, discharge planners, and case managers search
licensed care facilities and send referrals; facility operators list their homes and
report open beds.
FindABed sends text messages to registered users who ask for them. Care providers
receive a weekly bed-availability check-in and a notification when a social worker
sends them a patient referral. Social workers receive an alert when a bed matching
their saved search becomes available. Consent is collected on a web form at
findabed.net, is never a condition of using the service, and is confirmed by a reply
before any further messages are sent. No patient information is ever included in a
text message.
